We’ve agreed to donate the proceeds should we win, but we’re still contemplating the most worthy cause(s).
One idea is to play up the human and wind power side of the Race by supporting organizations that are helping keep fossil fuels from frequenting the BC coast more than they already do… Another good one (from Sven) is to raise awareness about the decline of First Nation languages in communities along the route, and beyond. And of course, there are the BC-based non-profits that Scott knows and loves — each doing good work to measure and ultimately mitigate noise pollution in the Northeast Pacific.
